Windows woes pushed me to embrace Linux
Windows update glitches had me thinking it's Linux time again.
It's been 20 years since I last used Linux full time on a PC. Even then that was on my work laptop which was mostly used for everyday office use, word processing, email, etc. web browsing, Remote Desktop and the occasional venture into a Terminal to program the odd Cisco switch. Many hardcore retro gamers in Birmingham & The Black Country are familiar with Old Skool Gaming. It's one of the few retro gaming shops run by knowledgeable staff and actual old school gamers. My 40 year old Optimus Prime figure has seen better days.
I made the mistake of comparing my completed Nemesis Prime with my original G1 Optimus. Obviously a much loved toy from my childhood wasn't going to stand up against something fresh out of the box so I decided to do something about it. My 40 year old, much played with Optimus.
